The Range
The NMBHGC Range is located approximately eight miles southeast of Edgewood, NM, in the Torrance County Park.
There are staggered berms from 25 yards to 200 yards, allowing for the use of both modern pistol and rifle and black powder firearms. In addition, there is space for shotgun shooting adjacent to the rifle range. There is also a separate range to practice for your conceal carry license. Scroll down (or click here) to see photos of our various shooting bays and other range features.
The range is open from 7:30am until one-half hour before sunset, except when the range is reserved for scheduled club activities and shoots (see the calendar).

Target Frames
The range is equipped with buried PVC pipes at various distances to for allow easy placement of target frames, available in the shed. These frames are built by volunteers, cost the club $6.00 each, and take about 20 minutes to build. Please shoot at the center of the target, do not place objects on the frame top to shoot at, and do not destroy the frame.
If you would like to build your own frame to bring back and forth from home, plans can be obtained below, for frames sized to fit the pipes and to sit at the proper height for the berms.
